Who knows German?
Oct. 19th, 2005 03:56 pmOK, I'm looking for someone online who wants to do this crazy beaded colorwork sweater I've started, and I finally got a hit on google. But it's in German. The last time I actually attempted to speak/read/write in German with any regularity was 1996, so I'm a bit rusty. Can anyone help me with this paragraph:
Words for non-knitters:
-Carlotta is the name of the sweater
-Rowan #36 is the magazine the pattern is in
-Strickcafe' is the blog name
I think it looks like she is about to start the sweater and is seeking other people knitting it, but I'm not certain. It might also say she's looking for someone to knit it for her. I get the feeling that she does read English from some of the blogs in her blogroll, but I want to at least make an attempt at understanding her and writing in her language before I go off and send a random email to someone around the world.

Date: 2005-10-19 08:43 pm (UTC)It is pretty cool. Actually, here's a photo:
I'm almost halfway through the back of it right now. It's on super small needles though, and it has 1,400 beads knitted in. so I don't see wearing it before February. I also totally understand why she doesn't want to knit it herself!

Date: 2005-10-19 08:58 pm (UTC)Want you to know, what my next project will be? Carlotta from the Rowanmagazin NR. 36!!! However my project consists not of knitting this sweater (can I mean so good cord abilities nevertheless to then estimate...), but in it, looking for a Strickerin from the Wollwirrware to the desire has this part to tackle. I hope that someone will be there! I dream already for a long time about the pulli. Beautifully that us all in the Strickcafé followed it! And thank you for the many opinions to the matter of price!
So yeah, I think she's looking for someone to knit it for her.
