I love Halloween. Like a lot. Each year, I go more all out for my outfit than the previous year.
I was lying in bed last night trying to remember all of my outfits, and I came up with a partial list. The problem is, I know there were some years where I'd have multiple outfits--one for trick or treat, one for the Halloween parade at school (we had to dress up for band in themes a lot) and sometimes there are outfits I recall that might have been for a different event for school, so I'm not sure. But this is as close as I can come:
1978 - Tweety Bird
1979 - Clown
1980 - Witch
1981 - Cinderella
1982 - Batgirl
1983 - Miss Piggy
1984 - Sacajawea
1985 - Punk rocker (c'mon, *everyone* was a punk rocker that year)
1988 - can't remember, but I was Carrie for dress as your fave literary character day
1989 - Bobbi Soxer 50s girl
1992 - Spider
1994 - Morticia Adams (I wish I had a photo of this. I wore my friend J's vintage velvet gown and a long black wig and got hit on by the opposing team's band teacher. Ick.)
1995 - None?
1996 - Rapunzel
1997 - Vampire?
1998 - Witch?
1999 - Jackie O.
2002 - Flapper
2003 - Saloon Girl
2004 - Paris Hilton
What is the theme of all recent years? Is it wigs? Almost but not quite -- it's false eyelashes!
I have wanted to do a really cool vampire outfit for quite some time. So I've gone overboard with the props this year. And yesterday, I popped in to Spencer's gifts at lunch time and ended up leaving with a "goth makeup" foundation kit, and some latex ear tips.
Last night I did a makeup test, and took a photo for posterity, mostly so that when I'm rushing around to get ready for tomorrow night, I can remember what on earth I did to myself.

I'm going to change how I did the chrome eyeliner, skip the black on my lips and just use my Urban Decay lipstick in "Pallor" (I knew it would come in handy *someday*!) and blend in the foundation a bit better, but otherwise I think that'll do. :-)
