Weird Monday downtown things...
Nov. 14th, 2005 01:21 pmThere is a ferris wheel on State Street. And when I say "on State Street" I mean in the middle of the road. Right smack across from the Ohio Theatre and the statehouse. It wasn't running, but there were tents, and a ticket booth, and something that looked to be a stage, also in the street.
City Center, which continues to die its slow death (it's been doing this since I started working downtown 5 years ago now) had a coming soon sign up for a new business which was called something like "Urban Dermal Art Studio." I can't decide whether I think that's going to be a microdermabrasion office, or a tattoo studio. Can't imagine that it would be the latter, but "dermal art" sounds kind of like a hoity-toity euphemism for "tattoo" so perhaps.

Date: 2005-11-14 07:44 pm (UTC)And yes, there was one, actually in the big grassy hole by City Center on High and Main. I'm not sure the reasoning for taking it away, but I never saw the reason for the grassy hole in its stead.
