2) If you were born outside of your era, when would you want to be born and why? Hmmm...maybe the 1950s, so I could experience the 60s and the 70s in a cognizant manner? Or maybe the teens so I could wear the clothes of the 20s and 30s

3) If you ran a store, what would you sell/have? Probably knitting stuff, but I could also see myself with a clothing boutique or record store.

4) What part in a movie would you love to play? An action hero. Seriously. I don't even like action movies, but I want to do my own stunts.

5) In your opinion, why do people suck? Because it's too easy to pay attention only to yourself--everyone does it once in a while.

6) If you had your own state, what would you put on your new quarter?

7) Whats the oldest article of clothing you own? I have a Pop Will Eat Itself Nation t-shirt from the early days of the web.

8) What piece of furniture have you replaced the most? Probably book cases. I have a tendency to try to make them think they are entertainment centers and killing them over time.

9) What instrument do you wish you could be more than great at? Piano, or guitar. I can noodle around on the piano pretty well, and have fumbled my way through learning to read bass clef, but all in all, having been a flute player for so long, my fingers are still mystified by the concept of playing more than one note at once.

10) Record, Tape or CD? CD. I still love them, though I'm finally venturing into mp3 land.

11) What do you think would be the best concert ever? PJ Harvey, Tori Amos and Bjork on one stage.

13) What do you think is the most over-rated candy ever? Hershey bars. Blech. That's not chocolate.

14) If you were writing out your will, whom would you give your music collection to? Hmmmm...That's a hard one. I listen to a lot of singer-songwriters that a lot of my friends don't get into as much as I do. I'd probably give it to automat76 with instructions to divvy it up accordingly.

15) If you could only debate two topics the rest of your life, what would they be? Honestly, the idea of still having to debate any of the topics I really care about for the entire rest of my life kinda nauseates me.

16) Out of your friends, whom would you say you are most jealous of, artistically? I don't like the word "jealous" here. "Envious" maybe? I think that would be my friends who have been in theatre all their lives. I feel like I missed the boat on that. And my friend J., who can whip up a custom wedding gown like nobody's business.

17) Most jealous of....intellectually? Hmmmmm....probably my friend B's husband J, because he remembers everything.

18) What do you collect? Yarn. Dust. Books. And on occasion, stuff with the weird Sanrio characters, like Chococat and Shinkhassen.

19) What is broken that you have, that you wish was fixed? My watch. The battery died last weekend. And to some extent, my heart, but that's another story.

20) What do you do when you're home sick? Knit. Watch Ellen. Sleep. Take bubble baths.

21) Story behind your username? automat76 and I used to make frozen Oreida french fries for dinner sometimes when we were dating. One night she jokingly called me "pixiecrinkle," after a particular variety of smaller sized, crinkle cut fries. When I wanted a very anonymous name here, I picked that.

22) Current Favorite Article of Clothing? Black one button cardigan I got at Anthropolgie on super duper sale last week. And my favorite, favorite purple Prada Mary Jane heels.

23) Line from the last thing you wrote for someone? I just finished a few paragraphs for an RFP. A taste: "User Interfaces should blend seamlessly with current applications and will be up to the discretion of the User Interface specialist [that's me] and business users." I know you are all just soooo jealous of my thrilling job.
