So I'm having a friendly disagreement with someone about a soft drink. 7-up has recently claimed they are now all-natural. One of us thinks that this is because 7-up is now free of color. One of us thinks it always was. Help us figure out who is right!

My mother always gave me either ginger ale or else flat 7 Up or Sprite when I was sick as a kid, so now the smell of any of them makes me want to hurl.

Ginger Ale = beige

They removed one of the preservatives and replaced it with something else. It's still got high fructose corn syrup though. Blech.

I marked that Sprite and 7-Up weren't the same color. I suppose they are, to an extent, but I've always thought that 7-Up was considerably 'more clear' than Sprite. I can't explain it, really. Probably just me being weird. :)

Actually, I'm in agreement with you. My friend says it's slightly cloudy yellow. I'm perplexed.

Nah, that sounds more like Mello Yello.

I think it's because 7-Up had that ultra-clearness, whereas Sprite was a huge amount of bubbles. I don't think it was a different color, just more.. bubbly?

Doesn't seem odd to me. Those companies will do anything to sell an extra can of soda. Probably the result of market research conducted on 100 Columbus "Middle America" residents, half wanting more ingredients and half less :)
