pixiecrinkleWow, am I bored today. I thought I'd come in and find a bunch of emails with things to do. No such luck. So I've been looking for good examples of online help systems (and having trouble finding anything--suggestions?) for a meeting tomorrow. And I've done every conceivable busywork task I can come up with. I cleaned out my email on Friday, so can't do that again. And the worst part is, I know I'm going to be slammed next week.
One of the developers is going to help me set up Websphere on my laptop this afternoon, so that will probably eat at least a few hours.
Shoot. Just realized I have a meeting and won't be back until after he leaves. Guess that will have to eat tomorrow.
I want to go out for lunch, but I think it would be pretty idiotic to take off on foot in this weather, and I know if I drive anywhere, I'm likely to end up taking a much longer lunch than I intend to. So it's cafeteria food for me. Joy. Then again, it took me no more time than usual to get here this morning, so maybe Columbus drivers are finally learning how to deal with snow. Hmmmmm...don't think I'll chance it.
The knee is better, but still very sore. I can't really cross my right leg over my left because it hurts, but the swelling is mostly down. I'm walking a bit stiffly, but that's 'cause my job involves so much sitting on my ass. I noticed yesterday that the stiffness subsided the more I walked on it.
I'm planning to go back to Kripalu in a month or so -- I have a plane ticket, and an offer for two free nights -- so I've been looking for some info this morning. I was considering driving instead of flying, because flying entails renting a car, which means the free flight doesn't save me much. But I just checked out the map, and it's listed as roughly 650 miles, that takes between 10 & 14 hours, depending on route. I'm not sure I can sit in a car that long by myself. I think tonight will be devoted to the planning of that. I need to get out of here for a few days, and it needs to be as cheap as possible.
