pixiecrinkleSo, it looks like Campus Partners (if they ever break ground and actually build this project) will be including a theatre in the OSU Gateway project after all. And the Drexel gets to manage it.
I worked for the Drexel, right up until the time they got the contract to manage the arena theatre. I'm still very glad I left, because the environment was making me nuts, but I'm also glad to see them have this sort of success.
But yes, in the back of my mind, there's still that thought that if I get totally sick and tired of the IT/web world, I could probably get an event planning job from them in a heartbeat. Every time I run into one of the Franks, they hint (or in some cases, outright ask) if I'd be interested in coming back.
They had 4 screens when I left. This new theatre would give them a total of 20 screens. I'm thinking that might solve the micromanagement problem that drove me off? Then again, maybe not.
Either way, I'm thrilled for them. Go Drexel!
