Grrrrrr......What bothers me most about this goes beyond my personal feelings on the issue, way back to middle school social studies class when we learned about the three branches of government and checks and balances. Looks to me from his quotes like his version of checks and balances is "pass a law to keep at least one branch of the government from doing anything."

I think he thinks he's the fucking dictator.

oh yeah. in my criminology class this morning we were watching a clip that was done in 2000 about the death penalty in texas when he was governor, and while listening to him, i thought, "you know, he sounds so fucking arrogant and sure of himself. too bad nobody caught on to that before the last election." the mess that this country has gotten itself into is frightening and there is entirely too much time before the election. he has plenty of rope to hang us all with.

the thought that he might be re-elected makes me feel sick inside.

Unfortunately, I get that sick feeling too. About a month ago, I was fairly confident he didn't have a chance in hell. Then Howard Dean fell out of the picture, and I seem to have run into Shrub supporters galore in the past few weeks...so I don't know what to think.
