(no subject)

I'm not sure much could be worse than nearly reaching my goal on knitting (18" of stockinette stitch), then breaking to measure the piece and realizing that I only needed 14" before starting the armholes. I'd totally misread the pattern last week when I started on that. So I ripped out about 3" of work, and went back to start in again. I havne't knit back in everyting I unraveled yet, but it's late and I need sleep.

Oh well, the sweater may be completed before the last of the snow melts, so I may actually get to wear it this year.

I forget sometimes how much I like my boss. He's just about the fairest one I've ever had. I had my mid-year review today and he opened with the question that I was debating asking. Turns out they had already approved a second UI Specialist at the end of last year and the only reason I don't have this partner-in-crime yet is that we have a hiring freeze in our department. Yay! Help for me is a good thing. I guess I just wasn't sure he knew how thinly I've been spread on various projects. And here he was all worried about offending me by suggesting I needed help!
