Mar. 23rd, 2004 05:02 pmBusy day. Had one of the most interesting meetings ever. A guy I'd never met before (but later realized he used to date SR, the Turtle) turned into a complete and total ass in the middle of it. He talked and talked and talked without saying anything, then became completely passive agressive, then started interrupting everyone else when they tried to explain anything. He generally started everything he said with, "I understand that, but...." but the thing was, he didn't understand, or we wouldn't have been there an hour past the meeting's ending time trying to explain it to him. Poor guy. He was trying to seem important, and we all just ended up laughing about it later. :-)
Bitch and Animal last night was cool, even if I did feel a bit old in the crowd. I must be old if it was 21 and older and I still felt I was surrounded by 12 year olds. Had fun with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
yerpretty and automat76 and pinupme, et al. Later on, I finished knitting the first fuzzy foot slipper for mom. Tonight I'll start the second, and mom may get her birthday present on time yet! Not sure what the next project will be after that. I start back to school for my software engineering class in a few weeks, so I'm not sure I'll have a lot of knitting time. I would like to make a tank top for myself though. I bought a whole slew of nice cotton about a year ago to make myself a sleeveless sweater, but I wasn't quite skilled enough for that then. Now I think I could handle it, but I'm not loving the pattern I picked out. Hopefully my Stich n' Bitch book will be here by the time I ready to go on that.
Must get psyched up for needle poking on Monday. I mentioned the high cholesterol number to my doc yesterday and she is having me come in for that and blood sugar tests. I'm so not good with needles though. Maybe if I get through this okay, I can move on to satisfying the nose piercing and the summertime tattoo cravings.
I want it to be warm outside. I bought the most fantabulous 80s revival shoes this weekend (Petal Pink with tiny hot pink accents, open toed, super high heels, Marc Jacobs, 50% off!!!!) and I want to paint up my toes and wear them! This 30 degrees one day 70 the next thing just isn't doing it for me.
